SCHUBERT NORTH AMERICA HEADQUARTERS | CHARLOTTE, NC
Location: Charlotte, NC
Owner: Schubert North America
Project Overview
Construction is complete on Schubert North America’s new headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Purpose-built to support the company’s operations across the United States and Canada, the modern facility provides Schubert with the space and infrastructure needed to build advanced packaging machines, support customers locally, and continue serving a growing North American client base.
Binswanger Glass installed the project’s comprehensive glazing package, helping define the building’s clean, contemporary appearance while supporting daylight, comfort, and high-performance building goals. The exterior features Kawneer 1600 Curtain Wall and Kawneer 451T Thermal Storefront systems with Guardian Glass SunGuard SNX 51/23, a high-performance low-E glass selected to balance natural light, solar control, and a crisp architectural aesthetic.
Key Features & Glazing Details
Contemporary Curtain Wall and Storefront Design
Binswanger Glass installed an expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing system that gives the headquarters a sharp, professional presence. The glass facade creates a strong first impression while reinforcing Schubert’s focus on precision, technology, and innovation.
Performance-Minded Glass Selection
The exterior glazing incorporates Guardian Glass SunGuard SNX 51/23, a triple-silver low-E coated glass designed to balance visible light and solar performance. Guardian SNX 51/23 offers 51% visible light transmission, a 0.23 solar heat gain coefficient, and low exterior reflectivity in a clear-over-clear double-glazed configuration.
Natural Daylight and Occupant Comfort
The modern glass design brings abundant natural light into the facility, helping create a bright, healthy, and inspiring work environment for Schubert’s team. The glazing package supports both the building’s visual impact and its day-to-day functionality.
Sustainability-Focused Design
Built with green building practices in mind, the facility aligns with LEED standards and supports Schubert’s “Mission Blue” initiative to reduce its environmental impact. SunGuard SNX 51/23 can help projects pursue LEED certification through its balance of light and solar energy performance.
By combining advanced technology, local service, and flexible production capabilities in one North American hub, Schubert is strengthening its ability to help customers stay competitive. Binswanger Glass is proud to have contributed to a headquarters that reflects that same commitment to innovation, performance, and long-term growth.
